1. General Terms (All Bookings)
• By booking with Samantha Ruby Artistry (“SRA”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
• Services include bridal, event, hairstyling, makeup, spray tanning, and packages.
• Quotes are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated.
• A booking is not confirmed until a deposit has been received and written confirmation has been issued.
• Payments are processed securely via Stripe, Wix, PayPal, bank transfer, or approved methods.
2. Deposits & Payments
• A 50% deposit of the total booking value is required to secure all bookings.
• This deposit acts as both a booking fee and a cancellation fee and is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Deposits are always calculated as 50% of the full service total.
Balances
• Bridal bookings: Remaining balance due 21 days prior to the wedding date
• Event, studio & trial bookings: Full payment due 7 days prior
• Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation and forfeiture of the booking fee.
• If a card is held on file, SRA reserves the right to charge any outstanding balance after the due date.
3. Bridal & Wedding Bookings
• Minimum booking values may apply and will be outlined in your quote.
• Final details (including headcount, location, access, and parking) must be confirmed no later than 4 weeks prior.
Cancellations & Charges
• Deposits are always non-refundable.
• Cancellations within 15 days of the wedding date are charged in full.
• If services are reduced after confirmation, the original quoted minimum may still apply.
Trials
• Trials are charged separately and are not deducted from your wedding balance.
Timing & Delays
• Late arrivals may result in shortened services while the full fee remains payable.
• Artists may arrive 10–15 minutes either side of scheduled time due to travel or circumstances — clients will be notified where possible.
Travel & Surcharges
• Additional fees may apply for early start times (before 6:30am), parking, tolls, or extended travel.
4. Studio & Event Bookings
• Appointments are held at the Norwood studio unless otherwise arranged.
Client Preparation
• Makeup: Clean, moisturised, makeup-free skin
• Hair: Washed the day before and fully dry (no washing provided)
Studio Conditions
• Guests are not permitted unless approved in advance
• Late arrivals exceeding 15 minutes may result in cancellation or reduced service, with full payment required
Cancellations
• Deposits are non-refundable
• Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are charged in full
5. Cancellations, Reschedules & No-Shows
• All deposits (50% of the total booking value) are forfeited upon cancellation or reschedule, regardless of timeframe.
• Bridal cancellations within 15 days require full payment of all services booked.
• Event/studio cancellations within 7 days require full payment unless already settled.
• If a client fails to attend or cancels late, SRA reserves the right to charge the full outstanding balance to the card on file.
Prepaid Bookings (Paid in Full)
If a booking has been paid in full and is cancelled outside of the applicable cancellation period, the following applies:
• The 50% booking fee is retained in accordance with this policy
• The remaining 50% will not be refunded, but may be issued as a store credit
Store credit:
• Is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash
• Must be used within a timeframe determined by SRA
• Is subject to availability and approval
Reschedules
• All reschedule requests must be made in writing
• Approval is subject to availability
• Deposits remain non-transferable unless otherwise agreed in writing
6. Health & Safety
• Clients must disclose any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions prior to their appointment
• SRA reserves the right to refuse service if a client presents with a contagious illness or unsafe condition
• Spray tanning may transfer to clothing or materials — this is the client’s responsibility
7. Photography & Social Media
• SRA may capture behind-the-scenes content for marketing purposes
• Clients must notify SRA in writing prior to their appointment if they do not consent
8. Privacy
• Personal information is collected solely for booking and operational purposes
• SRA complies with the Australian Privacy Principles
• Information will not be shared with third parties unless required by law
• Clients may request access or updates to their data at any time
9. Liability
• Results may vary depending on individual skin type, hair type, and conditions
• SRA is not liable for reactions where sensitivities were not disclosed
• Liability is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding amounts paid (excluding deposits), in accordance with Australian Consumer Law
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.
